Synthetic seven-amino-acid peptide
Not FDA-approved
What is Semax?
Semax is a synthetic analogue of a fragment of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH). Researchers have explored its effects on nervous-system signaling. That research is not the same as evidence that an oral strip improves focus or memory.
The important distinction
Semax and N-Acetyl Semax are distinct molecular forms. This profile explains research on the parent compound; those findings should not automatically be transferred to an acetylated derivative or a different delivery route.
